Constitution, Bylaws, Policies, Procedures, Rules, and Tikanga  

At Tokoroa Golf Club, we have developed a constitution, bylaws, policies, procedures, rules and tikanga pursuant to the fundamental lawful duties and obligations of an incorporated society.  

It is a requirement of membership of the Tokoroa Golf Club Incorporated that those who are, or wish to be, members of the Tokoroa Golf Club Incorporated avail themself of all constitutions, bylaws, policies, procedures, rules and tikanga pursuant to the fundamental lawful duties and obligations of an incorporated society.  

HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICIES

At Tokoroa Golf Club, we have developed a constitution, bylaws, policies, procedures, rules and tikanga pursuant to the fundamental lawful duties and obligations of an incorporated society.

 

See the existing health and safety policies below pursuant to the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and its subsequent amendments.  This Health and Safety page was last edited on or about Tuesday the 29th of August 2023 and contains the current Health and Safety policies of the Tokoroa Golf Club Incorporated.

It is a requirement of membership to the Tokoroa Golf Club Incorporated that members avail themselves of these Health and Safety Policies.  

Policy Statement: Management.

PURPOSE

Tokoroa Golf Club Incorporated is committed to providing a safe workplace for all who might work at or visit this workplace.


The Club's focus is on sustainable, continuous improvement in health & safety performance through leadership, behaviour change, and controls.

 

Management is committed to:

  1. Comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act, 2015, and its associated regulations, codes of practice, guidelines, safe work tools and standards; and

  2. Maintain an understanding of Health and Safety management relative to their positions;

  3. Provide and maintain a safe work environment or work premises (including means of access to, and egress from, these premises) that are without risks to Health and Safety; and

  4. Provide and maintain safe plant and structures and safe systems of work; and

  5. Provide and consult with workers on the heirarcy of controls; and

  6. Ensure appropriate processes are in place to accurately report, record, and investigate all accidents, injuries or near miss incident; hazards and risks; and

  7. Take all practicable steps to eliminate, or minimise harm from hazards and any risks that arise from their work, and review these systems six monthly; and

  8. Provide employees with the health and safety information, training, education and supervision that they require to keep themselves safe. Consult with, and encourage the participation of all other duty holders on matters affecting health and safety; and

  9. Develop and implement robust Emergency Response Procedures for dealing with emergencies that may arise; and

  10. Support the safe and early return to work of injured employees; and

  11. Consult with staff and their representatives, on all health and safety matters by way of regular monthly health and safety meetings and toolbox meetings; and

  12. Ensure all contractors are suitably qualified to undertake the work for which they are engaged. We will ensure that all contractors are pre-qualified, inducted and supervised adequately in all work that they undertake; and

  13. Provide Personal Protective Equipment and safe, fit for purpose equipment to ensure the health and safety of employees and visitors; and

  14. Review, revise and evaluate the Health and Safety management systems to ensure continuous improvement.

OBLIGATIONS

  1. To ensure:

    1. Ongoing the engagement of workers, visitors, officers, and the PCBU in all matters of risk and health and safety; and

    2. Consult, train, and improve controls used in risk registration and hazard management on site.

  3. The Club (Person Consucting a Business or Undertaking):

    1. Obligations pursuant to regulations.

    2. Liability with Civil Proceedings: s. 122 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.

    3. Liability with Provisional Improvement Notices, Charges, and Adverse Conduct : s. 50 through s. 99 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.

ACTIONS

Actions identified to implement this policy and for the club to meet their fundamental lawful obligations and duties are as follows:


  • Set up the structures of monitoring all elemens of risk and hazard on site.

  • Audit on a regular basis theses systems, controles, and approaches to ensure they are fit for purpose and reasonably practicable.

  • Engage workers in the audit or policy development process.

  • Engage stakeholders in the audit or policy development process.

  • Install the relevent controls.

  • Finish and update the Health and Safety Policy Database.

  • Train officers, workers, and members on how to engage in the Health and Safety System.
